Dairy-Free Chocolate ‘Ice Cream’
When ice cream cravings strike, hit them with this clean-eating, refined sugar-free, vegan ice cream. Make sure you check the ingredients of your maple syrup and cocoa powder to ensure that they are pure and don’t contain added sugars and additives.
- Slice the bananas and freeze in a freezer bag or airtight container. Do this the day before you want to eat the ice cream if possible. Otherwise try to leave in the freezer for at least 2 hours prior to making your ice cream.
- Put all of the ingredients into a food processor or blender, blend on high for 3-4 minutes. You may need to stop the blender and use a spatula to push down the banana slices to make sure they are all incorporated into the mix. Keep blending until there are no lumps and the mixture is very smooth and fluffy.
- Serve immediately for soft-serve or put back into the freezer for a firmer set dessert.
