Indian Spiced Green Tea Latte

This gently aromatic, green tea latte recipe is like a hug in a mug. A delicate infusion of green tea, cardamom and bay leaves, this steaming hot drink is a deliciously different way to take advantage of the benefits of green tea. Dairy-free.

  1. Pour the almond milk into a milk pan (or a heavy based saucepan that won’t burn) with the cardamom seeds and the bay leaf, and bring it to the boil.
  2. As soon as the milk starts to bubble, turn the heat down as low as it will go and allow the milk to infuse for 10 minutes.
  3. Turn the heat off and add the tea bag to the milk. Give the milk a stir and then set aside for 5 – 10 minutes, depending on how strong you like the flavour of the tea.
  4. Remove the seeds and the bay leaf, and serve in a heat proof glass or mug.
