Turmeric Tea with Lemon & Honey
Turmeric has powerful anti-cancer properties as well as numerous other health benefits. Take advantage of them by drinking this warming, medicinal tea on a regular basis. This turmeric tea recipe is also brilliant for naturally easing coughs and colds.
- Pour the boiling water into a heat proof jug.
- Add the ginger, turmeric, black pepper and cinnamon and allow them to steep in the water for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, add the lemon juice and honey (if using). Stir well, then pass the tea through a fine sieve into a tea cup or heat-proof glass.
- Serve and enjoy, stirring occasionally to stop the residue from sinking to the bottom of the glass.
If you are drinking this tea to complement cancer therapy, omit the honey as it is a source of sugar which should be avoided.
