Will They Eat It? Chicken & Broccoli Stir-Fry

MONDAY – Chicken and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Preparation: It took a few minutes to measure out the ingredients for the sauce into a pan and then I left it to reduce down. I’d already stripped the leftover chicken from the carcass (leftovers from Saturday’s dinner) ready to use, so it took me a few minutes to cut up the broccoli and boil the noodles, and I was good to go. Full recipe here.

Time to prepare: Prep & cook time – 10 minutes

Skill level: Easy

Miss N – Yummy, I like the sweet sauce (surprising as I thought the sauce might be too much for them with fresh ginger and garlic but they loved it).

Master N – I like noodles and I like the sauce, but not thrilled that you’ve put the green trees on my plate (he refused to try the broccoli).

Mr N – Really delicious, we should have this one more often (Mr N had gluten-free brown rice noodles and I made the sauce with gluten-free, sugar-free soy sauce – which bumped up the cost of this dish).

Me – Super quick and easy, which I was relieved about because Master N clung onto my leg the whole time I made it and only let go to escape and wee all over the bathroom floor, just as I served tea up. Perfect for a quick tasty mid-week meal.

Cost of the dish for my family of 4 = £4.41
